Tour details :

Day 1: Casablanca – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, you will be welcomed by your local team before beginning your journey. The day starts with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, followed by lunch in the city. Afterward, travel inland toward Meknes, a historic imperial city once ruled by Sultan Moulay Ismail. Here, you will explore Bab Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

The journey continues to Volubilis, Morocco’s most important Roman archaeological site, dating back to the 1st century BC. Walk among ancient columns, arches, and remarkably preserved mosaics before heading toward Fes through the scenic foothills of the Rif Mountains. Arrival in Fes is expected in the late afternoon, with overnight stay inside the medina.

Day 2: Full-Day Exploration of Fes

After breakfast, begin a guided tour of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual capital. Wander through its labyrinth of narrow streets, discovering centuries-old craftsmanship and daily life within the medina. Highlights include the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and historic madrasas.

You will visit Al Quaraouiyine University, considered the oldest operating university in the world, as well as the famous tanneries, where traditional leather-making methods are still in use. After lunch, visit a local ceramics workshop and enjoy a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the entire medina. In the afternoon, explore the modern part of Fes before returning to your riad for the night.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Leaving Fes after breakfast, the journey heads south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets, before continuing to Azrou, a Berber town surrounded by cedar forests where Barbary macaques are often seen.

As the landscape changes, travel through mountain passes and fertile valleys before descending toward the Ziz Valley, famous for its vast palm groves and dramatic scenery. Continuing through desert gateways, you arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon, where you are welcomed with traditional mint tea. Overnight near the dunes, preparing for the desert experience ahead.

Day 4: Merzouga Area Discovery & Camel Trek

After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region and its surrounding villages. Visit the Gnawa community to learn about their unique music and cultural heritage, rooted in Sub-Saharan Africa. Nearby, stop at the seasonal desert lake, which attracts various bird species depending on the time of year.

You may also visit nomadic families and local craft workshops. In the afternoon, begin a camel trek across the vast Erg Chebbi dunes, guided by experienced camel handlers. As the sun sets over the golden sands, continue to your desert camp where dinner, traditional music, and a night under the stars await.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Rise early to witness sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful and unforgettable moment in the Sahara. After returning by camel and enjoying breakfast, depart toward the dramatic Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls create one of Morocco’s most impressive natural landmarks.

After time to explore the gorge, continue through the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its kasbahs, winding roads, and striking rock formations often called “monkey fingers.” The day ends with an overnight stay overlooking the valley, surrounded by nature and tranquility.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, continue through the Valley of Roses, passing fertile landscapes and traditional villages. Stop in Kalaat M’gouna, known for its rose products, before traveling through Skoura’s palm oasis and visiting a well-preserved kasbah.

Arriving in Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert, you may visit historic kasbahs and learn about its role in international cinema. The journey continues to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar famous for its earthen architecture and film history. After exploring the kasbah, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech for the night.

Day 7: Marrakech City Tour – Essaouira

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, discovering its most important historical and cultural sites. Visits include the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace, and the Ben Youssef Quranic School. Free time is given around the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and the surrounding souks.

Later, visit some of the city’s green spaces and landmarks such as the Majorelle Garden, Menara Gardens, and the Koutoubia Mosque. In the afternoon, depart for the Atlantic coast, arriving in Essaouira in the evening to enjoy its relaxed seaside atmosphere.

Day 8: Essaouira – Marrakech Airport Transfer

After breakfast, explore Essaouira’s medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its white-and-blue architecture, lively souks, historic ramparts, and bustling fishing port. Following the visit, transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule, marking the end of your Moroccan adventure.
