Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Depart Marrakech in the morning, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via a scenic mountain pass. Stop along the way for stunning views and visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and an iconic filming location. Continue through Ouarzazate and along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic cliffs and rock formations. Overnight in the valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, journey toward Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with towering limestone cliffs. Take a walk along the river before continuing toward the Sahara Desert. Arrive in Merzouga and embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes to enjoy a breathtaking desert sunset. Spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp with local music and cuisine under the stars.
Day 3: Explore Merzouga Desert
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Spend the day exploring the desert region, visiting local villages, nomadic tents, and palm oases. Experience the traditional music and culture of desert communities, enjoy off-road adventures around the dunes, and discover abandoned mines and scenic desert landscapes. Return to your desert camp for another night of authentic Berber hospitality.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Midelt
After breakfast, leave the Sahara and travel toward Midelt. Stop in Rissani and Erfoud to explore local markets and enjoy views of palm groves. Continue through the scenic Ziz Valley and along the dramatic gorges, passing small villages and striking landscapes before reaching Midelt for the night.
Day 5: Midelt – Middle Atlas Mountains – Cedar Forest – Fes
Depart Midelt and journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing picturesque Berber villages. Stop in the cedar forests near Azrou to see the Barbary apes and take in the natural beauty of the region. Continue through scenic landscapes before arriving in Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco.
Day 6: Full-Day Fes Medina Tour
Spend a full day exploring Fes, including a guided walking tour of the historic medina. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Nejjarine Museum, Al Quaraouiyine University, and the famous leather tanneries. Learn about Moroccan traditions, crafts, and history while wandering through vibrant souks and ancient streets. The afternoon is free to explore at your own pace.
Day 7: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Rabat
Depart Fes for Rabat, stopping at Volubilis, an ancient Roman city and UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Meknes to explore its historical landmarks, including gates, squares, and mausoleums. Arrive in Rabat, Morocco’s political capital, to see the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and the Mohamed V Mausoleum. Overnight in Rabat.
Day 8: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech
On the final day, travel via Casablanca, visiting the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Africa with a stunning coastal location. Continue to Marrakech, where you will have free time to explore the city or relax before your tour concludes with drop-off at your accommodation or airport.
