Tour details :

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou –  Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Your journey begins with a morning departure from Marrakech, heading into the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic mountain pass. Along the way, you will visit the historic fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a striking example of clay architecture. Once an important stop along ancient trade routes, this Kasbah has also been the backdrop for many famous films.

From here, the tour continues to Ouarzazate, the “gateway to the desert,” where you can explore its iconic Kasbahs and film studios. Afterwards, travel through the Skoura palm oasis and the Valley of Roses, arriving at the Dades Valley with its stunning gorge, dramatic rock formations, and ancient Kasbah ruins. Overnight is spent surrounded by the natural beauty of this region.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast, depart the Dades Valley and journey toward Merzouga. Along the route, stop at Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering cliffs and a serene river running through its base. Continue through small Berber villages and lush palm oases before arriving in the desert region near Merzouga.

In the afternoon, enjoy the unique desert atmosphere and traditional Berber cuisine. Prepare for your first camel ride across the sand dunes and settle into a desert camp for a night under the stars, accompanied by local music.

Day 3: Explore Merzouga Desert

Spend a full day exploring the Sahara Desert. Visit the surrounding sand dunes, meet nomadic communities, and explore traditional Berber lifestyle. Stop at a village known for its unique music and cultural traditions, experiencing firsthand the rhythms and hospitality of local people.

After a midday break, embark on another camel trek, this time venturing deeper into the dunes to reach a traditional desert camp. Witness a stunning sunset over the sand and enjoy an evening of traditional music around the campfire.

Day 4: Merzouga – Alnif – Nkoub – Ouarzazate

Rise early to climb the dunes and watch the sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast, continue your journey toward Ouarzazate, traveling through remote Berber villages and alongside the scenic Draa River with its palms and Kasbahs. The route offers incredible desert and mountain scenery, providing a peaceful contrast to the bustling cities. Overnight is spent in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day, depart Ouarzazate and head back through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the dramatic mountain pass. The journey takes you through changing landscapes, from rugged peaks to small villages nestled in the valleys, before arriving in Marrakech to conclude your unforgettable Moroccan adventure.
