Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Marrakech. Journey through the High Atlas Mountains, ascending the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where sweeping vistas of valleys, mountain peaks, and Berber hamlets unfold before you.

Pause at the UNESCO-recognized Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient fortified village and renowned filming destination. Proceed toward Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, then travel through the picturesque Dades Valley. Take in the impressive landscapes of rocky formations, river valleys, and traditional settlements before arriving at your accommodation in the valley for the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert

Following breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and journey along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” lined with ancient earthen fortresses and flourishing palm oases. Visit Todra Gorge, a magnificent canyon flanked by soaring rock walls, and enjoy a leisurely walk beside the oasis stream.

Proceed toward Merzouga, traveling through small Berber communities and expansive desert vistas. In the late afternoon, set off on a camel journey across the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness an enchanting desert sunset. Day 3: Explore Merzouga Desert

Dedicate this entire day to discovering the Sahara Desert. Begin with sunrise over the dunes for an extraordinary experience. Optional activities include camel excursions, sandboarding, or visiting nearby nomadic communities to gain insight into Berber desert life.

Immerse yourself in the expansive landscapes, golden sand formations, and peaceful desert ambiance. Return to camp in the evening for dinner, traditional entertainment, and another night under the celestial canopy.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel through Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and date markets. Continue through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Midelt for refreshments and mountain views.

Drive through the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may encounter Barbary monkeys in their natural environment. Pass through Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” for its Alpine-style architecture and clean streets, before arriving in Fes by late afternoon, concluding your remarkable 4-day desert adventure.
